 Hippos

Did you know that a heard of Hippo is called a bloat.

We call hippos by their short names but the scientific name is hippopotamus the name is hippopotamus means and river horse in Greek.

Hippos spend 4 to 5 hours grazing and can consume 68 kg  (150 lb) of graze each night like most herbivores hippos consume other plants they eat. fruits and vegetables like watermelon lettuce all so pumpkin.

Hippos live in some sub-Saharan Africa . They live in areas with large water as they spend most of their time to go under water to keep  their skin cool and moist .

Even though hippos are so big they have predators .lions and spotted hyenas are known to prey on young hippos.

  This week we are learning about story dance and culture.

Writing

 Its the time to race racers to the starting line. My heart's pumping and pumping my body shaking. I'm breathing steady I've been practising everyday.

I see many people staring at me. I'm getting nervous I'm also scared.parents getting ready to see.

I hear a kids crying and screaming more people coming to the line giving each other good luck.

I can feel the sand between my fingers from the turf floor wind blowing my hair I'm getting nervous. Boom Bang the gun seats  off.

Samoan orange pineapple cake

 Ingredients

.1 lemon or yellow cake mix

.4 eggs

.1/2  cup oil

.8 oz  mandarin orange do not  drain

.15 oz container of whipping topping or whipped cream use cool whip

Instructions

Mix the first four ingredients lemon or yellow cake mix four eggs 1/2 cup oil  the cake is mandarin oranges in a large bowl. Next pour cake batter into a 12 x 18 pan then put the pan in the oven to bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes .When  the cake is done take it out and let it cool before adding frosting.

How to make frosting

First in a mixture or with a blender beat pudding mix crushed pineapple and whipped and whipped topping together and spread generously over the cooled cake.

Second the frosted  cake decorated with peeled mandarins cake should be kept in the refrigerator until it is served.
